A Shipley church is offering people the chance to take a look at activities available by visiting an open morning.
The Big Invitation will be held at St Peter’s church, Moorhead Lane, on Saturday, January 28, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Church groups and community groups who meet there will be showcasing their contributions to each other, and to visitors.
Groups such as the Young People’s Music Group, the Bowls Club, The Healing Prayer Group and the Photography Club will be available, alongside many others such as the Scouts and Guides, and the Fairtrade Group.
Vicar of St Peter’s, the Reverend John Rainer (pictured), said: “This is a key moment for everyone in Shipley to find out what a parish church does – there is a lot more to us than Sunday worship.
This is a time for meeting the people who run our groups, to ask questions, and to get involved.”
Activities will run throughout the morning for children, and light refreshments will also be available.
St Peter’s is situated on Moorhead Lane near Saltaire Roundabout. For details about the open morning, contact the church office on (01274) 400381.
