People have a few weeks left to see David Hockney’s largest and most ambitious painting on display in the artist’s native Bradford.
Bigger Trees Near Warter depicts a scene in the East Yorkshire village of Warter, between Driffield and York.
Comprised of 50 separate panels it features two copses, a huge sycamore tree, buildings and early flowering daffodils.
The highly-acclaimed painting will be on display at the Cartwright Hall Art Gallery until Sunday, March 4. Entry is free.
Other works by the artist can be seen in Bradford Museum and Galleries’ permanent collections. Cartwright Hall Art Gallery is open, from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Frida, and 11am to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday.
