It’ll be handbags at dawn when the New Community Arts Academy puts on Mother Goose. “We’re fortunate to have two accomplished performers playing Mother Goose and the Demoness,” says director Russell Whittingham. “Gary Armitage donning the frocks for the fourth year in succession as the Dame, and international drag cabaret performer Marigold Addams, aka Paul Houldsworth, is playing the Demoness of Doom.”
The cast also includes professional dancers Anthony Snowden, who has choreographed a routine, and Bethany Wright, playing Jill.
“Add to this a lively ensemble of young talent and you have an excellent family night of entertainment to warm cold evenings,” adds Russell.
Mother Goose runs at Victoria Hall, Saltaire, from January 31 to February 5. There will be a signed performance for deaf and hard of hearing audience members on Thursday, February 2.
