A 27-year-old man has been warned to expect a prison sentence for causing serious injury in a row over a debt.
Michael Sargeant, of Beacon Road, Buttershaw, Bradford, pleaded guilty to wounding Jason Holdsworth on October 2 last year with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
The case was adjourned for the preparation of a probation service report.
Sargeant’s bail was enlarged at Bradford Crown Court yesterday until the sentencing on February 16.
Judge Peter Benson told him: “You must expect, inevitably, a custodial sentence for what is a serious offence.”
