A decision on whether to end surgery at the children’s heart surgery unit at the Leeds General Infirmary has again been delayed.
The delay is due to the Joint Chairs of the Primary Care Trusts being granted additional time to appeal the High Court judge’s decision that ruled the consultation, carried out last year, as flawed and inaccurate.
The appeal is in response to a Judicial Review by the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust in London into the consultation which is being heard by the Court of Appeal.
The Court of Appeal Judge has ordered that the appeals should now take place on March 19 or 20.
