Detectives are hunting a pervert driver who sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl from his car.
The teenager was targeted late at night in Shipley as she walked home from seeing friends.
The youngster was uninjured in the assault but was badly shocked.
Police are investigating whether the sex attacker could have been a food delivery driver who spotted the girl while on his rounds.
Acting Detective Inspector Stuart Lyons stressed it was an isolated incident, but warned young women to be vigilant.
The teenager was walking on her own in Dock Lane, Shipley, after leaving her friends at the railway station, when a small red hatchback pulled up alongside her.
The driver opened his door and indecently grabbed the girl, while still sitting in his car. She pushed him away and he drove off.
The teenager made her way home and raised the alarm.
Det Insp Lyons said: “The girl was uninjured but very shocked by what happened. It is an isolated incident, though it is concerning and people should remain vigilant.”
He added: “We are making inquiries as to whether the car involved was a takeaway delivery vehicle. Part of our appeal is for anyone who ordered any food to be delivered around that time in that locality to come forward.”
After the assault, the suspect drove away along Dock Lane towards the swing bridge.
He is described as a dark-skinned Asian man, aged about 30, muscular, and with short black hair. He was wearing a black Adidas T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.
Police are appealing for a motorist, driving a small Peugeot car, who was passing as the incident was taking place at 10pm last Saturday and could have vital information, to come forward.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Detective Constable Paul Maxwell on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
