A city centre trader is considering quitting Bradford after a spate of break-ins left his business struggling.
Munawar Hussain, who runs Beauty and Fragrance in James Street, is calling for more help from police and Bradford Council to protect his shop from thieves and burglars.
Mr Hussain discovered the latest break-in yesterday morning when he arrived for work. Raiders had smashed his display window and grabbed perfume, watches, and other items, valued at a total of £3,500 to £4,000.
Only last week Mr Hussain lost hundreds of pounds of stock in a similar break-in. And there were two other burglaries at the shop in the summer.
The shop owner also says he is targeted daily by shoplifters.
He said: “I have lost around £15,000 worth of property in these raids.
“My business is not profitable. I cannot afford staff, so I don’t have any. My family helps me out in the shop.
