Four lorries have been involved in a smash on the M62 near Brighouse, leading to traffic queues because the damaged vehicles blocked two lanes.
Emergency services are at the scene near Junction 25 eastbound trying to treat the drivers and make the scene safe. A police spokesman said none of the lorries were carrying hazardous material and could not confirm whether any of the drivers were seriously injured or not.
He said police would not speculate on whether the weather conditions had caused the smash, which happened just after 11.10am. The vehicles involved were a white Volvo lorry, a red Mann lorry, and two Mercedes lorries.
“We are not sure who is injured and who is not injured,” he added.
