Controversial plans to build hundreds of homes on a green field site have been refused in principle by officials at Bradford Council.
The recommendation by planning officers for councillors to block planning permission for 292 houses on a site near Allerton Lane, Allerton, have been welcomed by a group set up to fight the plans.
Friends of Pitty Beck was formed to oppose the application by Hallam Land Management as they argued that a road leading to the proposed development is not adequate to deal with increased traffic flow and would cause further major disruption in the area.
