An army bomb squad raced to the district early today following reports of a flare being fired in the street.
Police called in the squad after investigations uncovered apparent military items at a nearby house.
Officers were called to South Street, Ingrow, Keighley, at around 12.40am today to deal with the alleged incident and arrested a 25-year-old man. Police said that as a precaution an army ordnance team was called to remove the equipment. A spokesman said: "There are no concerns for public safety and enquiries remain ongoing by Airedale and North Bradford CID."
