An investigation is underway tonight after police attending a reported break-in at a business in Bradford city centre discovered a stolen car and expensive vehicle parts.
Officers swooped on the business at the junction of Peckover Street and Burnett Street, Little Germany, at about 4pm today and seized a black Audi A3, which is believed to have been stolen from the Pudsey area.
Police found the car in an underground car park while investigating reports of a break-in at 10.20pm yesterday.
They also loaded other parts for expensive cars onto the back of two flat-bed lorries.
The parts were taken away for examination.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to a premises on Burnett Street in the Little Germany area at around following reports of a break-in.
“Officers attended and a subsequent search of the premises led to officers discovering a Black Audi A3 inside which is believed to have been stolen from the Pudsey area.
“Police also discovered parts of other high valued vehicles and now an investigation is underway to trace those responsible for the theft and to also establish where the car parts have come from.”
Anyone with information should contact DC Neil Walsh at Bradford South CID on the non-emergency number, 101.
