More than 50 stalls set up in the centre of the city opened today, offering seasonal goods and festive treats.
The Christmas market will stay until Sunday in Darley Street, Kirkgate, Bank Street and Tyrrel Street.
There are cakes, preserves and chutneys on sale, as well as a host of arts and craft stalls selling handmade cards, soaps, jewellery, handbags, and hair accessories.
Further festive markets will take place across the district in the coming weeks, with 25 stalls on Shipley’s Market Square on Friday and Saturday, December 9 and 10. Saltaire’s local produce market on Saturday, December 17, at the Caroline Street car park will provide a last chance for shoppers to stock up on locally-sourced goods before Christmas Day.
