Christmas markets across the district are set to get shoppers in fine festive mood.
The Council-run seasonal markets will have something to tempt all the family, from cakes, preserves and chutneys to a host of arts and craft stalls.
Bradford’s Christmas market will arrive with more than 50 stalls tomorrow and will stay until Sunday on Darley Street, Kirkgate, Bank Street and Tyrrel Street.
Shipley residents will get their own Christmas market in Market Square on Friday, December 9, and Saturday, December 10, when about 25 traders will set up their stalls.
Saltaire local produce market on Saturday, December 17, will provide a chance for shoppers to stock up on locally-sourced goods at Caroline Street Car Park.
There will also be festive family activities throughout December in-store at Bradford Markets.
Children can have their faces painted and visit Santa’s grotto in Keighley Market. They will also be able to call in at Santa’s sing-a-long Grotto for free at the Oastler Shopping Centre, in Bradford, where there will be entertainment from a Dickensian barrel organ and Gawthorpe Brass Band. All activities will be available from Saturday, December 10.
Kirkgate Market will be offering free festive face painting and balloon modelling every Thursday and Sunday from this week.
