Major disruption was caused to rail services between Bradford and Leeds tonight after a fatal incident inside a Pudsey tunnel.
A body, which had been hit by a train, was found about 50 yards into the Stanningley end of the tunnel near New Pudsey station at around 6.45pm, a Network Rail spokesman said.
Bus replacement services were in place between Leeds and Bradford Interchange throughout the evening while British Transport Police investigated the incident.
Journey times were extended by up to an hour.
