Former television presenter Johnny Ball visited a Bradford school to help make maths fun for youngsters.
Mr Ball, a well-known enthusiast of the subject, showed pupils at St John’s Primary School in Bierley how to make complicated calculations easy and also led a training session for staff.
Iris Cooper, the school’s maths co-ordinator, said: “The children were joining in enthusiastically. We were all delighted with him. He’s quite a character and had some amusing anecdotes to tell. We have been trying to make maths more fun for the children and he was the icing on the cake.”
