Two managers at a family-owned curry house in Bradford are among a group of six men charged with firearms offences.
Brothers Zeeshan Azad Khan, 32, and Aaris Azad Khan, 29, who work at Saffron Desi restaurant in Leeds Road, appeared at Court yesterday accused of being part of a conspiracy to possess firearms with the intent to endanger life.
Their half brother David Pemberton, 37, of Belmont Avenue, Low Moor, was also charged with the offence as were Jason Crompton, 39, of Rookes Avenue, Wibsey and Christopher Chung, 29, and Robert Parran, 34, both of Liverpool.
The men were arrested on Tuesday in Bradford and Liverpool as part of an investigation into alleged firearms and drugs offences.
They were charged in relation to the discovery of weapons by police in January this year, Bradford Magistrates’ Court was told.
Prosecutor Clare Stevens told District Judge Sue Bouch, the matter could only be dealt with at the crown court and applied for each of the defendants to be remanded in custody.
District Judge Bouch denied all bail applications and remanded the six men in custody to appear at Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday, December 6.
