Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap – the world’s longest-running stage production – is coming to Bradford on its first-ever UK tour.

Today, the famous who-dunnit enters its 60th year in London’s West End and, to celebrate, 60 professional productions of The Mousetrap have been licensed worldwide.

The 60-date UK tour will be at Bradford’s Alhambra theatre in November, 2012. The all-star cast is yet to be announced.

Usually, outside the West End only one version of the play can be performed annually, but to celebrate its diamond jubilee it will be seen on every continent over the next two years.

Sir Richard Attenborough and his wife, Sheila Sim, took the lead roles when the production opened at The Ambassadors Theatre in 1952.

Since then, tourists from around the world have flocked to see the play.

* The Mousetrap runs at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford from November 26 to December 1, 2012. Tickets go on sale on Monday and will be available on (01274) 432000 or at bradford-theatres.co.uk.
