A 52-year-old man has been warned by a judge to expect a jail term for sexually assaulting a young man in a camper van on the moors above Baildon.
Peter Macmillan-Collins broke down in the dock at Bradford Crown Court after he was convicted by a jury yesterday afternoon.
Macmillan-Collins, of Church View, Kayley Hill, Skipton, denied carrying out a sex act on a 23-year-old man while he slept, claiming the activity was consensual.
The victim, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, curled up in a ball and cried after the assault, the court was told.
He and two other men had spent a night drinking, smoking cannabis and talking with the defendant in his camper van on the remote moorland.
After the verdict, MacmIllan-Collins’ barrister, Robin Frieze, asked for the case to be adjourned until December 13 for a probation service report.
Judge Join Potter granted Macmillan-Collins bail until the next hearing.
