Community projects across Bradford district are celebrating after being given a funding boost.
A total of 46 projects across the Yorkshire and Humber region are sharing more than £370,000 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All programme – including 11 in the Bradford district.
Paul Jones, Big Lottery Fund Head of Region for Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “I am delighted the Big Lottery Fund is supporting these vital projects.”
Among the winners are three school projects. Eastwood Primary School in Keighley has received £7,500 to pay for a range of activities from aerobics, healthy eating workshops and aromatherapy. Bradford Moor Community Primary School will use its award of £9,495 to establish five activities, from family cookery sessions and breakfast clubs, to community exercise classes for women and a gardening club.
Fearnville Primary School, off Sticker Lane, Bradford, will use its award of £6,626 to deliver four after-school clubs a week for pupils.
