Friends of a family whose baby boy was stillborn are holding a fundraising event to help pay for his headstone.
Dylan Lloyd MacKenzie was born asleep after a scan on January 4 found he had died about a week earlier.
His family have chosen a headstone in the shape of a train to remember him at his resting place in Baildon, but it costs £1,000 and they are struggling to pay for it after meeting the costs of their baby’s funeral.
So friends of Dylan’s mother Aimee Ramsay, 21, of Thackley, decided they would hold a Zumbathon on Friday to raise funds.
Miss Ramsay said she and Dylan’s dad, Callum MacKenzie, loved trains when they were younger, including the Thomas the Tank Engine children’s programme.
“The headstone is a lovely way to remember him and we want him to have the best,” said Miss Ramsay.
Miss Ramsay’s former dance teacher Natasha Pearson-Graves has organised the Zumbathon at St John’s Church, Thorpe Way, Thorpe Edge, from 6pm until 8pm.
Miss Ramsay said she also wanted to raise awareness of Bradford’s high stillbirth rate.
