A 22-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering serious head injuries during an assault in Wibsey.
Two men, aged 24 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of wounding after the incident, which occurred in Holroyd Hill shortly after midnight.
Police believe the assault may be linked to two earlier incidents, one inside the Market Tavern pub at around midnight and the second in Holroyd Hill, around 150 yards from the pub, towards Wibsey High Street.
The arrested men, from Odsal and Buttershaw, were being quizzed by detectives in custody today while a police cordon remained in place at the scene.
The injured man, also from Odsal, was receiving treatment at Leeds General Infirmary.
Anyone with information about the assault in Holroyd Hill, or the earlier incidents, should contact Bradford South CID via 101.
