Staff at the Bradford branch of the RSPCA are hoping to re-home three of their longest residents before Christmas.
Two of the three Alsatian-cross dogs have already spent one Christmas at the Mount Street centre, but staff are now trying to get them into new homes so they can enjoy the festive season with their new families.
Rocky, who is aged between seven and eight, and ten-year-old Scooby have been at the centre since May last year while Zac, also ten, has been with the RSPCA since February. Centre manager Mandy Miller said the dogs were all fit for their age.
She said: “They are the three longest residents and they are not young dogs, so being in kennels is not ideal for them.
“Two of them have already spent one Christmas with us and we want them to spend this Christmas in a family home.”
Mrs Miller said a special rate will be available for those considering to give them a home due to their age. Anybody interested in taking in one of the dogs in should contact the centre on (01274) 723063.
