A dental nurse has vowed to treat herself to a new vacuum cleaner – after scooping almost £2 million on the Lottery.
Yeadon couple Gwen Poole and her husband Steve, a driving instructor, won £1,963,927 in Saturday night’s draw.
Now the pair plan to splash out on their family, pay off their mortgage and other bills and travel the world – but only after 58-year-old Gwen sorts out some cleaning issues.
Speaking after the win, the mother-of-four said: “I said to Steve ‘can I have a new Hoover’ because mine’s been driving me mad.”
