Objections to a proposed 73-home housing estate on green fields near Bingley were made during a public meeting last night.
More than 50 people turned out to discuss plans submitted by Leeds-based developer Harron Homes to build a mixture of four and five-bedroom family homes, as well as 12 two and three-bedroom affordable properties, on fields off Crack Lane, Wilsden.
The meeting was called by Wilsden Parish Council to gauge public opinion before councillors formulated their response to the application.
Residents raised concerns over increased congestion in the village, if the proposed development was to go ahead, along with issues over access to the site.
Speaking ahead of last night’s meeting, Wilsden Parish Councillor Peter Ketley said: “Bradford Council has had a large number of responses to the application but I have yet to see one in support of the development."
