Bradford singer Janet Jaye (pictured) is aiming to recreate Bradford’s nightclub past at a concert this weekend.
“The nightclub scene for people of a certain age has lost its flavour,” says Janet. “There used to be many nightclubs in Bradford city centre to choose from, back in the day, when people would dress to impress and you could dine and dance to the best music.
“I get a huge buzz from transporting myself – as well as the audience – back to a time when everyone seemed a lot happier and less stressed, at least for as long as the music was playing.”
Janet will be delivering such classics as We Are Family and I’m Every Woman, and the audience is encouraged to dress up to get in the retro mood.
The concert is at Bingley Sports Centre, Wagon Lane, Bingley, on Saturday.
