This is the moment a masked vandal carried out a “malicious” attack on almost 50 cars causing an estimated £100,000 of damage.
CCTV footage shows the vandal, who wore a mask that featured in the horror film Scream, pouring a corrosive liquid on vehicles on the forecourt of a car dealership in Rawdon.
The masked man, entered Rawdon Motors, on the A658 at Apperley Lane, from fields at the rear of the site before attacking dozens of cars parked on the forecourt.
The attacker daubed 49 cars at the second-hand motor dealership by spraying them with what authorities believe could be paint stripper from two washing up-type bottles before fleeing the scene.
The attack wrecked the paintwork on all of the vehicles and the damage is estimated at about £100,000 for the owners of the firm.
A police spokesman labelled the incident “malicious” and appealed for witnesses to the incident at 9.25pm on Sunday, September 25, to come forward.
