This week we will be unveiling those individuals and groups who are in the running to pick up the first ever Bradford and District medals for their hard work in their communities.
The Community Stars Active Citizens Awards, which are being run jointly by the Telegraph & Argus and Bradford Council, asked you to nominate those people who go the extra mile to make life better for their neighbourhoods.
We had dozens of entries and after some tough decisions the judging panel has come up with shortlists of three for each of the six categories.
We will be revealing the shortlists in a special supplement free with the T&A on Friday.
Then you’ll have your chance to vote for who you think deserves to win each category – and receive a medal being struck for the occasion at a ceremony at Bradford City Hall on Thursday, December 1.
