Two men tried to rob a motorist on Friday night as he sat in his car.
The driver escaped after a short struggle, leaving the potential thieves empty handed.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attempted robbery which happened at 7.25pm at the junction of Haworth Road and Stoney Ridge Avenue.
The victim was driving a black Ford Fiesta along Stoney Ridge Avenue when he stopped at the junction of Haworth Road.
Two men opened his front passenger door, with one of them threatening him and demanding cash and a mobile phone.
After a short struggle with the men, the motorist managed to drive off and the offenders headed off in the direction of Haworth Road, on to Brantwood Drive and into Brantwood Villas.
Both men were described as slim and Asian with the first man about 20 years old and wearing dark clothing with a hood pulled up.
The second man was also belived to be wearing dark clothing.
