Three people were taken to hospital following a fire at a Bradford flat last night.
The three adults, believed to be Eastern European, managed to make their own way out of the ground floor flat at Oak Villas, Manningham, despite flames shooting up the front door.
Outside they were helped by neighbours who had been alerted by smoke seeping into their own homes through their windows.
At the scene firefighters from Bradford and Idle stations used breathing apparatus to tackle the flames and clear the building of smoke.
Other crew members gave the three casualties oxygen before they were taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary to be treated for smoke inhalation.
