Occupy Bradford protesters on Centenary Square have been served with a notice to leave.
A claim for possession hearing earlier today at Bradford County Court was not attended by the protesters, but it is understood they have been served with a notice to leave by 5.30pm.
The group’s protest, against the excesses of the banks and the failure of governments to prevent the financial crisis, is among hundreds across the world,.
Protester Andrew Wild said the group had been invited to attend a meeting with the Council - on the condition they moved their camp to Infirmary Fields in Manningham.
He said while the group was prepared to explore options it was not willing to agree to those terms.
“It takes us away from the people we want to be speaking with and whose voices we are trying to have heard,” he said.
