Commuters were facing major disruptions to rail services across the Bradford district after a train broke down at Guiseley station today.
Services from Ilkley, through Bradford and Leeds were suspended because of the fault on the 8.05am Ilkley to Leeds service.
Passengers were told to leave the train and make alternative travel arrangements, a spokesman for Northern Rail said.
Due to the breakdown, the 8.17am train from Ilkley to Leeds was forced to remain at Burley-in-Wharfedale station and the 8.24am service from Ilkley to Bradford was kept at Ben Rhydding station while the line was cleared.
