An off-road motorbike has been seized from a 13-year-old boy as part of a crackdown on disorder in Keighley.
The seizure follows a spate of complaints to police about off-road bikers making nuisances of themselves around the town.
Several other riders have been issued with final written warnings for anti-social behaviour and officers from the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team are warning illegal motorists they will not hesitate to seize more bikes.
Sgt Andy Simpson said: “We’re really pleased with the impact our off-road patrols are having in Keighley and want to get the message out very clearly that as an NPT we now have even more capability to track down and catch those behaving recklessly.
“Dangerous driving and riding is something we will not tolerate and tackling it remains a priority.
“Residents are also increasingly making us aware of motoring offences they witness and those who misbehave should be warned we are taking note and we will be taking their vehicles.”
A bike was confiscated from a 13-year-old last month after he was spotted driving on a road in the town.
A spokesman for Airedale and North Bradford Police said: “The machine was immediately seized as it was not insured and the rider was also given a warning.
“A few days later the officer stopped a 17-year-old spotted riding a machine on Fleece Street and, after questioning him, found he was riding without L plates.
“The teenager was given an on the spot fixed penalty notice for not displaying learner plates and reported for document offences.
“Meanwhile, other action taken during the patrols has included the arrest of a car driver for being unfit to drive through drugs after he was spotted driving erratically on Spring Gardens Lane.”
