Winter may be fast approaching but Scouts and Cubs in Bradford have been helping prepare for next spring, planting more than 1,000 daffodil bulbs around Greengates this weekend.
The bulbs, supplied by Bradford Council, have been planted at locations including the junction of Haigh Hall Road and New Line, a flowerbed near Kebabeesh resturant and a border near Greengates House.
Julia Wassall, secretary of Greengates Memories Social and History Group, which oversaw the planting, said the Scouts and Cubs had wanted to contribute towards a greater sense of community in the village.
