A Bradford schoolboy is to travel to the United Nations’ headquarters in New York on behalf of a charity that provides humanitarian aid to people around the world.
Mohammed Usman, 15, of Great Horton, has been chosen by Mother Helpage UK as its youth representative, after the organisation was recognised by the UN’s Department of Public Information.
The Grange Technology College pupil, pictured, who has helped with the charity’s global water project, will join other volunteers and staff members as they collect their official passes from the UN in December. He said: “My mission and my vision is to help the poor and youth in this day and age.”
