Pupils had an out of this world experience when a planetarium was set up in their school hall.
The blow-up planetarium from Space Connections was set up in Sandy Lane Primary School, Allerton, where pupils have been learning about space.
Teacher Joanne Palmer said pupils were able to visit the planetarium to learn about the solar system, the space race and the development of space shuttles. She said: “They had a session in the planetarium and then a session on how to live in space and building rockets.
“Now they have built their rockets they are going outside to have a launch and see which one can go the furthest.
“They have been enjoying learning about the different planets and which ones you could possibly live on, which ones you couldn’t and how long it takes to get there.”
