A man arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Great Horton Road, Bradford, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The 39-year-old victim had got out of a taxi and was crossing Great Horton Road towards Windermere Road when he was struck by Renault Megane car driving out of the city. He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene shortly after 1.20am on Saturday morning and was released on bail over the weekend.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the Renault Megane before the collision.
