The Bradford and District Football Association has warned that plans for Bradford Council to lease football pitches to a private school could leave teams priced out of using the facilities.

Council officers say discussions are taking place with Woodhouse Grove School over the management and leasing of Rawdon Meadows.

The authority said any agreement depended on safeguards being included to protect the use of the pitches by the public and community sports clubs.

But Carol Dent, secretary of the Bradford and District FA, believes clubs risk losing out if the fields are put in control of schools.
