A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a man died this morning while crossing Great Horton Road, Bradford.

The 39-year-old had got out of a taxi and was crossing the road towards Windermere Road when he was involved in a collision with a Renault Megane car driving out of the city at 1.20am.

He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the Renault Megane before the collision.
