A thriving business could create 60 jobs at a new £300,000 call centre.
Debt protection firm Spectrum Financial Protection plans to expand its Keighley operation in Luton Street.
Based in the town centre with a staff of more than 200, Spectrum's latest investment in new facilities will provide its client services department with a state-of-the-art facility, boasting the latest in IT and communications equipment.
The first phase of the expansion will offer the prospect of at least 30 new jobs with a further 30 after the second phase.
Spectrum managing director and owner Kevin McGrann, 41, said: "Our client base runs to tens of thousands and is growing all the time. It has emphasised the need for a larger call centre facility - one which is more technically advanced to enable us to offer a speedy and efficient service benefiting clients and creditors alike.
"Some clients have as many as 20 different creditors, ranging from credit cards, store cards and overdrafts through to large consolidation loans for thousands of pounds so it is imperative that the flow of information is as smooth as possible.
"It is far too easy to become debt-ridden these days and for those involved it is an emotional and stressful time. Our staff are trained to understand what clients may be going through and the new call centre is built on this ethos."
Mr McGrann, who is from Keighley and still lives in the area, set up his business, which turns over more than £20 million a year, five years ago. It has twice moved premises in Keighley to accommodate growth.
"We are a Keighley-based company that is committed to remaining in the area," said Mr McGrann. "We are always on the look-out for local people who can fit into Spectrum by bringing their skills and understanding to an expanding local business. As with existing staff, those who join us can look forward to a long and beneficial career path.
"The new call centre facility is exclusively for our existing clients and by investing in the latest technology we have created a paperless system which allows our staff instant visual access to all documents."
