Great Britain star Paul Johnson makes his first appearance in four months and Marcus St Hilaire wins the chance to wreak revenge at his former club when the Bulls head to Huddersfield.

The frustrated duo get a welcome opportunity for some action at the Galpharm Stadium in the final regular round of Super League XI on Sunday.

Luckless Johnson battled back from a major elbow injury only to be cut down by a serious bout of food poisoning on the eve of his comeback last month.

That saw the second-rower, who joins Warrington at the end of the season, lose a stone in weight and delay his return further.

But, having not played senior football since the loss against Leeds on May 26, he is finally set to end his misery this weekend, probably off the bench.

McNamara admitted: "It'll be good to have Johnno back. He's been through a tough period but come through the other side and now looks a lot better.

"We need to get him some game-time and he'll get that on Sunday. We'll see how he travels."

With the sudden-death play-offs starting next Saturday, the Bulls need to be at full strength, and getting Johnson back firing will be vital if they are to launch a serious bid for Old Trafford.

However, winger Lesley Vain-ikolo misses the Huddersfield match due to another knee problem.

The Kiwi ace has powered in for six touchdowns in seven games since his last lay-off and heads the try list with Shon-tayne Hape and Karl Pryce on 17.

McNamara said: "It's not serious but he hasn't been able to train this week so he doesn't play."

That paves the way for St Hilaire to re-establish himself in the coach's plans.

The full back hasn't featured in the last three matches since being dropped after a poor performance at Harlequins but takes Vainikolo's place for an emotional return to his hometown club.

St Hilaire was unceremoniously dumped by Huddersfield 12 months ago and will be eager to make a big impression on his first visit back to the Galpharm Stadium.

Brother Lee - McNamara's assistant coach - is also looking to make his mark after leaving the Giants himself earlier this year.
