When Kaneez Hussain was born her family was told she could live between three days and three years.

Sixteen years and several major operations later, she has proved to be an inspiration to all around her.

Kaneez, a pupil at Hanson School,Bradford, was left blind after being born with the rare condition Fraser Syndrome, a recessive genetic disorder which mainly affects the eyes.

The condition has meant she has had to undergo several major operations and has learned to battle obstacles on a daily basis.
