Bradford Sunday Alliance Senior Cup holders West Bowling were dumped out of this season's competition in the first round by Albion Sports.

Albion moved in front with a 25-yard free-kick by man of the match Jay Sobers. Two minutes later Gareth Carney put the hosts two in front and the same player sealed victory with his second strike ten minutes from time.

Bolton Woods progressed to the next round despite falling behind to Oakenshaw at Avenue Road. The hosts took the lead through Noel Whimark and, though Woods equalised six minutes later, they led 2-1 at the interval when Barry Marsden put them back in front.

The visitors equalised for the second time on the hour and went in front with eight minutes to go from the spot. Another goal two minutes from time gave them a 4-2 triumph.

The other all Premier Division clash finished in a 5-0 victory for Pudsey over Bradford Park Avenue with goals from Paul Stephens, Paul Speight, Ronnie Worrall, Dan King and a 30-yard shot from Haydon Lobley.

Silsden continued their good run of early season form with a 4-1 home victory over Ventus Sports from Division One which included a brace from Jamie Longley.

The shock result of the first round was Division One team Dudley Hill Rangers beating Premier outfit Queensbury 2-1 at Newhall School thanks to goals from Floyd Phillips and Craig Brown.

Crown Wyke also beat a Premier outfit in Chellow, winning 4-1 as Paul Gott scored a hat-trick with Brett Missin making up the tally for the Division One team.

For the second week in succession Eccleshill United beat Wyke Wanderers, the home team winning 7-1 including two goals each from Andy Phillips and Ben Hardy.

Hosts Buttershaw White Star thrashed Eastward 6-0 in the all Division One clash.

Division 1A side White Horse continued their winning ways in the Intermediate Cup second round with a 3-1 victory over Gaping Goose, Lee Taylor notching a brace and Arron Williams also on target.

New Inn Wyke won 6-3 at home to Black Swan. Marvin Robinson was in inspirational form for the hosts with a hat-trick, Michael Caine bagged a brace and Jason Longbottom added to the tally.

Hudsons won a ten-goal thriller at Wyke 6-4 in extra time while White Eagles beat the George Hotel by the same score, Sunday Jonah hitting a hat-trick for Eagles in a first-round tie.

Elsewhere in the opening round a hat-trick for Royal Clayton's Andy Fieldhouse helped his team to a 5-3 victory over Thornton.

Two goals from Dean Louch and Paul Gelder helped Clayton Orient to a 4-2 triumph at Greengates Albion. Paul Kelly and Steve Thompson replied for the home team.

A brace from Nicky Walker and a strike from Dale Stevens put Oddfellows Athletic in the driving seat against Hare and Hounds after 25 minutes.

But two goals from Hounds in the second half put the result in doubt until the final whistle.

Unbeaten Tyersal had an easy 10-1 victory at Chellow.

Daniel Duckworth was in inspirational form with a hat-trick as Orange moved into round two at the expense of School Green with a 3-2 win.

On the score sheet for School Green were Sam Prince and Gareth Williams.

George & Dragon crashed out in a 5-0 defeat at home to Wibsey WMC Reserves.

Buttershaw OA conceded just after the half-hour mark to Otley Road's Chris Selby. Road then soaked up relentless second-half pressure from Buttershaw to go through to the next round.

Fountain were beaten 1-0 by Beldon Sports, Steve Jackson grabbing the winner 15 minutes from time.

Queen FC put their recent poor league form aside with a fantastic 6-2 win at home to Aire United in the first round of the Amateur Cup. Goals for Queen came from Rob Green (3), Anthony Ludlam (2) and Dom Newton.

Paul Andrews hit a hat-trick as a rejuvenated Delius scored seven with no reply at home to Quarry Reserves.

Idle were 6-3 winers over Shoulder of Mutton and Lord Clyde beat Poplar Court 7-2.

In the second round Ring o Bells Shipley Reserves marched on with an emphatic 6-2 win over Dynamo Delius in a game that saw Lee White bag a brace.

Queen Hotel beat Cornwall Youths by the odd goal in nine as Sayed Ali scored a brace for the losers.

Goals from Peter Carrigan and Chris Winn put Nabwood Juniors into the next round after a 2-0 win against Steel Bangle.

Cup holders Napoleon also progressed with a 4-2 victory at Prospect, with Sylvester Warner, Tony Mitchell and Liam and Daniel Moore on target.

Bolton Woods Socials eased into the third round with a 5-1 win over Bradford Lions while Bradford Youth saw off Ember Hounds 5-2.
