Gloucester target Karl Pryce is facing the biggest decision of his life but won't leave the Bulls for a rival Super League club.
The giant centre/winger is out of contract at Grattan Stadium in November and has a lucrative offer on the table from the Guinness Premiership outfit.
Bulls are eager to retain the exciting Great Britain hopeful but Pryce, 20, admits the chance to try his hand at rugby union is hugely appealing.
It is understood he has dismissed an approach from Wigan without even speaking to Brian Noble and insists it is a straight choice between the Bulls and Gloucester.
"I'll be making my decision soon, possibly this week, but it's not going to be to another Super League club," said Pryce.
"It'll either be union or I'm staying at Bradford - I don't want to play rugby league anywhere else.
"It's definitely the biggest decision I've ever had to make. It's the first time I've been out of contract and it is a difficult one for me.
"I've always said I'd like the opportunity to go to union if one came up. I wouldn't just disregard it like some RL players have and would give it the respect it deserves. I'm taking as much advice as possible before making the decision."
It will be a huge blow for Steve McNamara if Bradford-born Pryce does accept a three-year deal at Gloucester, where he could be fast-tracked into England's 2007 World Cup squad.
The 6ft 6in powerhouse is potentially one of Super League's most dangerous strike weapons and is the Bulls' joint top try-scorer this season with 17, despite not being a regular starter.
Pryce has spoken to Henry Paul, who left Bradford for Gloucester in 2001, and Robbie Paul, who had a brief spell with Harlequins, in the last few weeks as he mulls everything over but it does seem likely the Academy product will leave Odsal.
Meanwhile, the Bulls host either Salford or Warrington in the Super League elimination play-off on Saturday, September 23 (6pm).
