A Bradford artist is starting a life-drawing club in the city.
Lindsey Holden recently returned from working as an art teacher in Vietnam, where she worked on art projects with children at a kindergarten.
She also attended life-drawing classes in Vietnam and was keen to continue working on the art form on her return to Bradford.
So next week Lindsey will launch a life drawing club at Bradford Playhouse and she plans to introduce different themes to the weekly sessions, using props and technical facilities at the Little Germany theatre.
“Life drawing is really good for developing drawing skills,” she said. “I like to do an initial drawing of a model, then expand on it later on.
“I use a variety of materials, including clay, paint and textiles, and I want to encourage others to do the same. It’s not just about drawing – it’s about using other mediums too.”
The club starts in the Chapel Street theatre on Tuesday at 7.30pm. For more information, ring 07952 164083 or e-mail bradforddrawingclub@gmail.com.
