Students at the University of Bradford’s fencing club have been re-creating action-packed scenes from new blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to celebrate a special version of the movie on the city’s Imax screen.
The students, dressed to resemble Captain Jack Sparrow and one of his crew, were at the National Media Museum where the film will be shown during half-term and throughout June. To celebrate its release, the museum is hosting a Pirate Weekend from Saturday until Bank Holiday Monday.
Budding buccaneers will have chance to take part in free activities including face painting, art cart workshops and a chance to play Lego Pirates of the Caribbean.
Visitors dressed as pirates from Saturday throughout May half-term could receive ten per cent off their ticket for afternoon and early evening screenings.
