A performance incorporating storytelling, dance theatre and Afro-Brazilian percussion, set in the intimacy of a bedsit, unfolds at Bradford’s Theatre In The Mill.
The production, called It’s Like He’s Knocking, by theatre company Unfinished Business, is described as a collage of moments taken from the lives of three generations of men.
The show, which explores issues surrounding memory, migration, ancestry and the magic of coincidence, has been created by Leo Kay who, for the last 20 years, has been captivated by stories his father told him about his grandfather.
The show is performed as an intimate, engaging experience for a small audience, offering an opportunity for them to feel close to the performance and reflect upon issues raised in relation to their own lives and ancestry.
l It’s Like He’s Knocking is at Theatre In The Mill from June 9 to 11. For tickets, ring (01274) 233200.
