Staff at a pub have re-created the bow of the famous Titanic for a fundraising evening commemorating the 99th anniversary of the cruise ship’s fateful maiden voyage.
Christine Schrek, who runs the New Inn, Wilsden, with business partner Joanne Chappell and her son Miguel have built the bow from wood and lined it with black membrane in one of the pub’s windows ahead of their Titanic night from 7.30pm tonight. Miguel spent three days working on the theme to raise awareness of the event, proceeds from which are for the Lifeboat appeal.
