Year seven pupil Florence Waudby showed her creative side when she won a photographic competition at Skipton Girls’ High School.
Youngsters had been challenged to come up with the best photograph on the themes of colour, nature and friends. The competition was judged by award-winning photographer Stephen Garnett, who gave top honours to Florence’s picture of a frog.
“We had about 40 entries,” said head girl Emma Davidson, who organised the competition. “We are known as an academic school and we just wanted to encourage the girls to show their creativity.”
The photographs are now on display in the entrance foyer of the school.
