A youngster has been nominated for a national award after dressing as Charlie Chaplin for a charity video.
Horsforth schoolgirl Bethany Hare, who has raised more than £7,600 for Martin House Children’s Hospice by singing part of Chaplin’s song, Smile, has been nominated for the Kids Count Inspiration Awards.
Bethany, 11, has been nominated by Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew for the awards which recognise individuals and organisations that have inspired young people. She will attend the awards ceremony at the House of Commons.
“The judges were so impressed by her determination they changed the category which she was nominated for from a community award to Most Inspirational Young Person,” said mum Yvonne.
