A woman and her daughter-in-law accused of the murder of two men found beaten and dumped in a country lane near Bradford had applications for bail turned down by a judge today.
Judge James Goss QC, sitting at Bradford Crown Court yesterday, refused bail to Arab Sultana, 63, and Kainat Bibi, 27, and remanded them in custody.
The women, both of Heath Terrace, Barkerend, are charged with the murders of Shahbzada Muhammed Imran and Ahmedin Sayed Khyel, and assisting an offender.
The bodies of Mr Imran, 27, who is known as Imran Khan, of Gloucester Avenue, Fagley, and Mr Khyel, 35, of London, were found in New Lane, near Tong village, last week Mohammed Zubair, 31, the husband and son of the two accused women, is wanted by police in connection with the inquiry and is thought to have fled to Pakistan.
Sultana and Bibi are expected to face trial next year.
